It seems that the Jersey Shore just can't catch a weather break. Now we brace for a snowstorm that could blanket the area with at least 6 and up to 10 inches of snow.

Meteorologist Alan Kasper warns that the snow will develop during the day today and could be heavy in the afternoon and evening hours. Right behind the snow will be bitterly cold temperatures, with an overnight low that could dip to the single digits.

Alan says the snow will taper off in the early morning hours tomorrow, and tomorrow's daytime high will only be in the teens. By the time it's all over, parts of the area will be dealing with snowfall totals approaching 10 inches.

I remember through the years, we would get the threat of bad storms but when the day finally arrived, it wouldn't be as bad as feared. Lately, it seems we're getting everything, and it always seems we're getting the worst of it. Maybe I'm just imagining that, but it sure seems that way.
