The Scrunchie is Making a Comeback!

I've been waiting for this since the '80s!

Turns out the London games, gymnastics to be exact, made a big impact on fashion. The gymnasts brought back scrunchies! Gymnasts from around the world created a Twitter frenzy, simply by wearing their hair pulled back and held in place with a scrunchie.

I don't see what the big deal is. It's not like parachute pants, for crying out loud. It's just a way to hold your hair in a pony tail....and it doesn't pull out your hair when you remove it, like normal hair ties do. So I will remain loyal to my scrunchies, of which I have many.

For fashion's sake, though, some may be paying a fortune for a designer scrunchie. I can't imagine how much they're going to sell for, but Mark Jacobs has taken note of the Olympic gymnasts and is creating adorbale designs for the once reigning champion of hair ties. Can't wait to see those!
