MTV Jersey Shore star Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino and his brother Marc are expected to appear in federal court today to face multiple charges.

They're accused of not properly paying taxes on the nearly $9 million in income brought in through his various 'promotional activities.'

According to a press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office in NJ, they are both charged with one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States and with three and two counts, respectively, of filing false tax returns for 2010 through 2012. Sitch also faces an additional count for allegedly failing to file a tax return for 2011.

Not only did they *allegedly* file false returns, but they also *allegedly* tried to write off their luxury cars, clothes, and 'personal grooming expenses' as business expenses.

Each count carries a maximum potential penalty of three years in prison and a $250,000 fine. The Situation's extra count for failing to file a tax return could get him a max of one year in prison and a $100,000 fine.

I should probably feel bad for them, but the rest of us pay our taxes every year, meanwhile they are living in the lap of luxury. Psh. Pay your bills, guys.
