The White Rooster Opening in Toms River

If you've been wondering what's taking over the spot last occupied by Rivoli's in Toms River, we have the details!

Restaurateur Patty Caneda of Caneda's in Toms River, and business partner/Townsquare Media host/all-around good guy Jeremy Grunin are opening a new BYOB Cuban restaurant there, called The White Rooster.

In a video posted to Facebook, she says she's hoping to have the eatery open this spring, but notes there are lots of renovations planned that could push back the opening.

The White Rooster will provide a more expanded version of Caneda's menu, and they'll offer catering services as well.

They'll serve up authentic Cuban dishes like boliche, ropa vieja, arroz imperial, and paella cubana. To keep the vibe going, Caneda says she plans to have cigar roller on Friday and Saturday nights so people can go outside and smoke cigars (or just take them home.)

Caneda says, "Everything we're gonna do there we're gonna do with class...we're gonna give you a reason to dress up on a Saturday night."
