These Shore Restaurants Stepping Up to Help Furloughed Workers

The longest Government shutdown in our Nation's history continues.

This IS NOT a political post. This is a post applauding local restaurants who are helping federal employees who aren't getting a paycheck and truly feeling the effects of the shutdown.

JBJ Soul Kitchen in Red Bank and Toms River are urging those in need of financial assistance to stop by either location.

On Instagram, Soul Kitchen said:

To federal workers and their families, remember Soul Kitchen is a resource for you. If you are a furloughed federal worker come by and eat and learn what other resources might be available to you.

Toms River Soul Kitchen hours:
Lunch: Wed/Thurs/Fri: 11:30AM-3PM
Dinner: Saturday 5-7PM,
Sunday Brunch 11:30AM-2PM

Red Bank Soul Kitchen hours:
Dinner: Wed/Thurs/Fri/ Sat/ 5-7PM
Sunday Brunch 11:30AM-2PM

Brickwall Tavern in Asbury Park got it right with this Insta post. APP is reporting that Federal workers with a valid ID will receive 25% off their food bill. Reportedly, the discount will increase as the shutdown continues.
