Things To Do at the Jersey Shore This Weekend

-- The 11th Annual Garden State Film Festival returns to Asbury Park tonight through April 7th. Considered one of the largest and most respected on the East Coast, it will showcase over 140 films, shorts, documentaries, music videos and animation, along with some stars! Head on over to check out some amazing films!
-- Kids Fishing Tournament at Spring Lake: It's the annual Trout Kids Fishing Tournament. The lake is stocked so grab the poles and come on down! Prizes will be awarded. At the Spring Lake weigh station at Mercer Ave. Saturday, April 6th, 8 am - 1:30 pm. FREE
--Kid's Breakfast at Freehold Raceway Mall this Saturday, April. 6th, 2013: Join me and my boys as The Point gives away breakfast goodies and prizes, along with crafts and games from Nat. Geo., and free carousel rides, 9 am - 10:30 am in the food court. Bring your kids and come hang with us the first Saturday of every month!
-- Roller Derby. The Jersey Shore Roller Girls are back with more hard-hitting action for the 2013 season. This year's opening bout is on Saturday, April 6th, at 8 pm. The Anchor Assassins will be squaring off with the Right Coast Rollers. Doors open at 6:30 pm. at Asbury Park Convention Center.
-- Fairy Dish Garden: Learn about and create a magical garden for fairies. Everyone will receive a container, soil, plants, rocks, and tiny accessories to create a fairy garden of their very own. The fee is $10 at Barlow's in Sea Girt this Sunday morning, April 7, 2013 at 11 am.
