It's going to be another great summer weekend at the shore! Here are just a few samplings of things to do:

--Ocean Grove Family Movie (free) at Pier Beach Friday night at 8:30 p.m.

--Movies on the Beach at Jenkinsons (free) at Pavilion Beach Friday at 8:30 p.m. This weekend's movie is The Smurfs.

--Wall Fair Friday through Sunday 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. Games, rides, dancing to live bands, shopping for crafts, and fireworks Sunday night (July 1st) at the Wall Municipal Complex.

--Colts Neck Country Fair and Fireworks at the park on Bucks Mill Road. Fair runs 4 - 11 p.m Friday and Saturday. Featuring a variety of rodeo events. Saturday - Great American Apple Pie Contest: Bring your pie to the judge's table outside the fair office at 3 pm (no other kind of pie will be accepted.) They will begin sampling the pies at 4 p.m. (for more information call 732-683-1240) Fireworks begin around 9:30 p.m.

--The 19th Annual Firecracker kid's race Sunday (July 1), 6:30 p.m. at the Wall Municipal Complex Pop Warner Practice Field. --Independence Day at the Howell Works (free). On Sunday, bring a picnic lunch and enjoy games of the period, listen to toasts and speeches from the local dignitaries of the Howell Works, and even hear a very stirring reading of the Declaration of Independence given by James P. Allaire, himself. There will be music and dancing, games for the children, militia drills and more.  7 p.m.- 9 p.m. at Allaire Village in Farmingdale.
