Yesterday I posted some great ideas on how to entertain your kids this summer in Monmouth County. Here are some ways to occupy your kids this summer in Ocean County.

Jenkinson's Aquarium, Point Pleasant Beach. It may not be the biggest, but it's MY favorite. My kids have enjoyed getting up close and personal with penguins, seals, and sharks and really enjoy the touch tank where they've been able to touch a stingray and other sea life. You can even have your child's birthday party here. Get your hands stamped and you can come and go for the day and go out onto the boardwalk. Kids love the rides at Jenkinson's, too! 732-892-0600

Castle Park in Toms River (Oak Ave and North Bay Ave.)  A great playground for kids...my children have loved it for years. It has multiple play sets for different age groups, a climbing rock, a rocking boat and swings. There are also many games to play and a water feature for hot days.

Blackbeard's Cave & C.B. Huntington's in Bayville. A kid's entertainment delight featuring paint ball, a kiddie park with rides and fun, mini golf, a train, water wars, an arcade, go carts and much more. And the train-themed restaurant is also fun for the kids. They even have an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet on Sunday mornings. 732-286-4414

Six Flags Great Adventure and Hurricane Harbor, Jackson. Whether you get a season pass or just make it a special occasion, it's a classic part of Ocean County.

Casino Pier, Go Karts, and Breakwater Beach in Seaside Park. A great day and night of guaranteed fun for my boys on any day of the week.
