Do Not Take A Steamy Hot Shower. Many of us love the hot shower. It immediately relaxes you, right? Well, that's exactly the problem according to the experts. The hot water on your body is actually alerting your nervous system to relax and slow your heart rate. Basically, it puts you back to sleep. Solution? Quick, cold shower.

Do Not Check Your Email First Thing In The Morning. Experts say it starts your day in a negative way and if you're half asleep when you respond, you're likely to make a mistake. Solution?  Check your email when you're fully awake.
