Nope, this isn't a shot from the Caribbean. This body of water is right here in New Jersey!

This sight can be seen on the outskirts of Millville, in South Jersey.

Referred to as "blue holes," they are a bit of an urban legend, but real nonetheless. More on that in a minute. Located deep in the Pine Barrens, blue-green algae gives the water its awesome color.

Legend has it that the Jersey Devil is a regular at the blue holes, others say they are "pits straight to hell!"

Strangely, the water hosts no life and is unusually cold all the time.

One thing is for sure, it is advised that you DO NOT swim in any blue holes. They are full of bacteria and are unsafe.
