This Girl Has Connections!

Aside from the fact that Rooney Mara is having a great month, between being nominated for an Oscar for Best Actress in Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and being named the third hottest woman in America, she has a Super Bowl connection like no other.

The New York Giants was founded by Rooney Mara’s great-great-grandfather Tim Mara. Rooney’s father, Chris Mara, is the senior vice president of player evaluations, and her uncle John is 50 percent owner of the team, serving as president and CEO.

And as if THAT’s not enough, Rooney has another huge football connection on her mother’s side. Her grandfather, Art Rooney, Sr., founded the Pittsburgh Steelers and Steelers’ current chairman, Dan Rooney, is her great-uncle.

Gee….I wonder how she got her name?
