Our Warriors of the Week are those who return from battle wounded and in need our support and thanks. There is a great event taking place as a way for you to help and support our Wounded Warriors.

Come out for a night of comedy...and buy a ticket for a veteran, too!

Comedy For a Cause is a night of entertainment with some of the funniest comedians around, all to support the Wounded Warrior Project. Read on to find out who these great comedians are!

This show has a twist. Not only can you purchase a ticket for yourself, but if you're unable to attend or just feeling extra generous, you can pay your respects and say thank you to a veteran by sponsoring them and buying their ticket as well! CLICK HERE for tickets!

The show is Wed., Oct. 29th at Toms River High School North Auditorium (Pine Belt Arena). Doors open at 7:30, the show starts at 8:30 pm.

Since this event takes place on the 2nd anniversary of Hurricane Sandy, a portion of the proceeds will also benefit the People's Pantry of Toms River.

Tickets can also be purchased at the box office at 1144 Hooper Ave., 3rd Floor, Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm (excluding holidays).

Again, tickets can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com. On Ticketmaster, search "Comedy for a Cause" Pinebelt Arena. And look for the link to buy a veteran's tickets if you can!

Tickets are $18 pre-sale, $28 at the door.

This is a registered and approved event with ticket proceeds going directly to the Wounded Warrior Project.

The show features:

Jim Dailakis -- an Australian Greek actor, writer, and comedian who has headlined in major cities around the US. He talks about relationships, love, and mimics movie stars with the uncanny ability of being able to contort his face. His performances land him standing ovations and adoration from audiences across the world.

Maria Walsh -- Known as "America's naughtiest Mommy', she talks parenting and offers some original tips in her act. She may appear to be a classic SUV-driving, latte-drinking, suburban soccer mom, but she will 'go there', saying what most of us are thinking but are afraid to say.

Joe Bronzi -- The host of this show mixes his award-winning writing with fast-paced, off-the-cuff zingers to the crowd...so you better be careful if you sit up front! He has opened for many of comedy's top talent, including Chris Rock and Brad Garrett.
