The Monmouth County SPCA tries to give all animals a second chance...so instead of giving up on Liam, they are trying to raise funds for his surgery.

Liam is a sweet 4-month old Black Lab-mix puppy. He is suffering from a rare and painful bone deformity and he needs a special surgery to heal his left front leg.

If Liam doesn't get the care he needs, he will have medical issues and pain for the rest of his life.

The Monmouth County SPCA rescued Liam from an overcrowded shelter in the South and hopes to find him a forever home, but first Liam needs the surgery, as well as post-surgery physical therapy.

And then he will need a forever home full of lots of love and TLC so that he can have the second chance he deserves.

The MCSPCA is collecting donations for Liam through a special SECOND CHANCE MEDICAL FUND that helps them provide lifesaving medical care to animals in need like Liam.

They hope to raise $6,000 to give Liam the medical care he needs and the second chance he deserves. Please help the MCSPCA heal Liam so he can live a long and happy life.

The Monmouth County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was founded in 1945 to care for the community's homeless, neglected and abused animals. Their mission is to protect and advocate for all animals.

They are dedicated to enforcing animal cruelty laws; providing a safe haven for homeless, abused and abandoned pets while they await adoption; reducing pet over-population through spay/neutering; and cultivating their humane treatment through education and service. The MCSPCA cares for thousands of animals each year and relies solely on private donations to fund these important initiatives.

The MCSPCA provides services to the community including pet adoptions, low cost spay/neuter services, a weekly vaccine clinic, dog training and behavior, humane law enforcement, lost and found, trap neuter-and-return for free-roaming cats, humane education, pet therapy, a pet food pantry for low-income families as well as their Pittie Project, a proactive program to help get Put Bull breeds adopted and improve their lives in the community.
