Manchester Police's Narcotics Enforcement Team had begun an investigation in the Pine Lake Park section of town following complaints of drug related activity in the area.

While conducting surveillance last week they spotted apparent drug related activity unfolding and pulled over a car with three men on Route 70 near mile-marker 37 just before 6:30 pm.

After recognizing the potency of marijuana coming from the car, the K-9 unit was also called in and a search of the vehicle found drugs in possession of every man in the car.

The driver, 19-year old Nicholas Marquis of Beacon Street in Manchester, initially gave phony information to police who later found him in possession of a hunting knife, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Marquis now faces charges for Hindering his own Apprehension, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, Possession of Marijuana under 50 grams, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute and Possession of Paraphernalia before being transported to the Ocean County Jail on $15,000.00 bail.

The second man in the car was also found with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and Troy Ksyniak, 18, of Monmouth Avenue in Manchester faces charges for Possession of Marijuana under 50 grams and Possession of Paraphernalia, and was released on criminal summonses.

The third man to be arrested as a result of the investigation was Elijah Miller, 21, of Anchorage Boulevard in Bayville who was found with 28 doses of LSD or "acid", alprazolam, marijuana, THC extract, and drug paraphernalia in his possession.

Miller is charged with Possession of LSD, Possession with Intent to Distribute LSD, Possession of Alprazolam (Schedule IV), Possession of Marijuana under 50 grams, Possession of THC Extract, and Possession of Paraphernalia.

He was transported to the Ocean County Jail on $100,000.00 bail.
