Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes to Divorce

It was one of the weirdest celebrity marriages that spawned one of the most fashionable celebrity kids on the planet...and now will be one of the biggest celebrity divorces.

People reports that after 5 years of marriage, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are divorcing. No word on if any papers have been filed in court yet.

According to TMZ, the couple hasn't been seen together publicly since February, but Katie was spotted in New York this week still wearing her wedding ring.

The couple has a six-year-old daughter, Suri, best known for her fabulous fashion sense and her killer shoe collection.

After all the couch-jumping, Scientology, and general weirdness from Tom Cruise...I don't think anyone is too surprised by this.

I'm actually not sure if this was a marriage or a hostage situation.

Either way, can we go back to the days when Katie Holmes was just our favorite girl next door, Joey on Dawson's Creek?
