Asbury Park Press shared the story of Bill Bresnan and his wife Kris, married for almost 40 years.

They met in 1974, and what started as notes to each other on cocktail napkins from the train eventually turned into 'periodic, funny cards' which then turned into Bill writing his wife a card or note every single night since they've been married.

If you do that math...it's close to 15,000 letters -- and Kris has kept them all. They are neatly organized by decade in boxes at their home.

The Bresnans have the ultimate record of their lives together, and something very special to share with their family. It's quite the love story! My favorite part? Bill ends every note with 'I love you madly, my darling.'

(Though is anyone else curious to see what else some of those letters say on nights when they've gotten into some kind of argument??)

Take note guys, a little effort goes a long way in the romance department! Whether it's writing letters or something completely different, we can all do a little thing everyday to show the ones we love how much they mean to us!
