There's a lot of traffic on Jersey Shore roads, and therefore, a lot of frustrated drivers who often voice that frustration with their car horn.

Today we thought we would put the spotlight on three of the more popular types of beeps heard on Jersey Shore roadways and what they mean.

The hey buddy the light is green beep. This is the peak of Jersey Shore impatience. Your waiting at a red light and the light has just turned green. The average Jersey Shore driver behing you will give you a "one Misssissippi" before leaning on the horn. I love people who are in a hurry to get to the next red light.

The you are sooo wrong beep. We all make mistakes on the roadways and nobody feels worse about when it happens than we do. But that doesn't stop some "perfect" driver from leaning on their horn to let you, and anybody in a two mile radius, know that they caught you. Thanks for the public service announcement.

The I have to see what you look like beep. We'll beep when someone in the lane next to us drifts into our lane, or when they try to change lanes and don't see us. We are angry and offended by both, so this type of beep comes with the mandatory peek to see what the beep-ee looks like. I could never figure out why, but we've all done it.

So there is our tribute to those among us who get their money's worth out of their "car horn" function. Beeping cars...the true soundtrack of the Jersey Shore. We'll have another list of Jersey Shore beep types coming soon!
