The Wednesday before Thanksgiving is typically the busiest travel day of the year, but this year things may be different at the Jersey Shore.

Since Hurricane Sandy ripped through, there are several factors at play which may change this year's travel plans, possibly putting less people on the road tomorrow.

Many displaced families are unable to celebrate Thanksgiving at all this year, and won't be traveling at all.

Others have missed so many days of work and school that taking extra days off to travel is not an option, while some are trying to beat the rush and can leave today.

No matter when you plan to go, be safe on the roads this weekend (and maybe pack some snacks and games for the whiny husband kids!)
