Hospitals were at capacity after yesterday's ice storm in North Jersey caused roads to become ice rinks.

The New Jersey Turnpike was one of the highways badly effected.

One driver barely managed to escape a double tractor trailer when it skidded right past his car on the Turnpike in New Brunswick.

The driver said in a YouTube post, he or she was stopped waiting for a tractor trailer accident to clear up on the New Jersey Turnpike southbound. The driver wanted to take a picture.

"And then I heard a noise from behind," the post said.
