In Toms River, a crash around 11 AM tied up Water Street from the Parkway to Dock Street. Police say it's impacted traffic throughout downtown, including the area around the Ocean County Courthouse, Library, and Toms River Municipal Building.

Jersey Central Power and Light's outage map reports about 315 customers in Toms River suddenly in the dark. In Manchester, it's about 4,000, mainly in the Whiting section.

That's because a car rammed a pole on Route 539 near Cherry Street earlier in the morning. The crash closed that portion of the highway. Police there gave no indication of how long the closure would remain in effect. But JCP&L anticipates restoration of power by 12:30 PM.

We will have more information about these two incidents throughout the day.
