Two shootings across the Jersey Shore Monday have police looking for clues this morning.The Monmouth County Prosecutors Office confirms their role in investigating a shooting that occurred on Embury Avenue in Neptune Township last night along with NTPD around 7:16 pm.

A joint investigation is ongoing with Neptune Police in connection with the shooting of a 28-year-old Asbury Park man in the 1100 block of Embury Avenue.

The victim suffered a non-life-threatening injury and is currently being treated at an area hospital and is currently in stable condition.

In Barnegat, police began an investigation into a shooting on Lexington Boulevard.

A source with knowledge of the Barnegat investigation tells WOBM News this morning that there was only one victim wounded and they were hospitalized at Southern Ocean Medical Center with undisclosed injuries that are considered to be non-life threatening.

Barnegat resident Brandon Calogero who lives a few blocks away from where the shooting occurred says he saw Barnegat and Stafford Township Police heading past his home and onto Schooner Avenue after hearing gunshots.
