Vader was Wandering Around Lost and Scared
Our Point Pet of the week was found roaming around with a harness on, completely lost and scared and, perhaps, abandoned. Now he is safe but needs a home.
Vader is a 1-year old Terrier mix who needs a forever home. The Monmouth County SPCA is keeping him safe and loved until someone can bring him home. This special dog has even started going on overnight visits with some of the volunteers who describe him as “a perfect dog in the house, no messing around, curious and full of love.”
Beautiful Vader walks well on a leash, has had no accidents in any home he has visited, and loves to snuggle up on the couch and watch TV with humans. He does prefer to be the only dog in a home, although he does not mind passing by other dogs while out on a walk.
Vader loves playing with toys (sqeaky toys are his favorite) and loves tug-of-war. He’ll even put a toy in your lap to ask you to play with him. He is very affectionate and loves to be pet and snuggled with. He’s got a lot of love to give.
You can meet Vader at the Eatontown location, 260 Wall Street, during new adoption hours: Noon – 7 pm Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and Noon – 5 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. THE MCSPCA IS CLOSED ON MONDAYS AND TUESDAYS FOR ADOPTIONS so that they can catch up and get more animals ready to be adopted.

And don’t forget — THIS SATURDAY, Dec. 3rd, is the MCSPCA’s annual Home for the Holidays celebration from Noon – 5 pm. There will be photos with Santa or a winter-themed setting to get your pets’ and/or family’s holiday photo taken, a bake sale, vendors, giving tree, wine toss, face painting, refreshments, free games for the kids, and so much more! Lots of adorable adoptables will be hoping to meet their new forever families. So come on over with your family and your pets (leashed or in a carrier) and bring a pet donation if you can (food or toys) to the Eatontown location for some holiday fun and photos!
