We all have our morning routines and mine usually includes checking out "Local on the 8s" on The Weather Channel. That wasn't a possibility today because the network was missing from my lineup.

I have Verizon Fios and up until now, I've raved about it. By far it has the best HD quality. I'm a tech geek, so that kind of thing is important to me.

I'm not happy that they dumped TWC, but even more unhappy that customers got notice the day of!

The notice came in an email saying that the Verizon and The Weather Channel couldn't come to an agreement on carrying fees and decided to go with the AccuWeather Network instead.

They also said that "In today's environment, customers are increasingly accessing weather information not only from their TV but from a variety of online sources and apps."

I'm not going to argue with the fact that weather information is available on phones, tablets, computers, heck, I read it every on the radio everyday.

We can all agree that none of us look at our cable bill and say "man, I'm really not paying enough." It's a big expense. It's an expense that I'm willing to pay because I enjoy Verizon's service. But, I literally have over 1,000 channels. Many I will never watch. It's not as if Verizon decided to drop MTV6 HD and everyone is up in arms, The Weather Channel is a major network that not only provides weather, but also has some cool shows and specials.

Not to mention it's kind of cowardly to not send customers any advance notice. They knew they were going to get blow back and waited until the last minute.

Verizon said that their not negotiating with The Weather Channel, so it looks like the move is final. However, TWC is asking fans to call Verizon to voice their displeasure.
