From a tattoo artist’s point of view, I would be considered a “blank canvas,” being that I do not have a single tattoo.  According to a 2015 Harris poll, nearly one in three Americans has at least one tattoo.  Research has been conducted studying the personality differences between the “blank canvas” people and those sporting tattoos.  Results of the study indicated the following personality factors:  First, people with tattoos are more extroverted than those without ink.  Second, tattooed individuals are more adventurous, always seeking new experiences.  Finally, those with tattoos have a need to be unique, wanting to stand out from others.  Click here to learn more about what your tattoo says about you from this Psychology Today article.
