Walk and 5K on the Beach in Asbury Saturday to be Led by Tilly

The Arc of Monmouth's Walk & 5K Fundraiser returns to Asbury Park this Saturday, April 9th, and you can take part!This walk and run benefits those with intellectual and developmental disabilities(I/DD), with an after-party inside Convention Hall.

'Step Up for the Arc" is one of The Arc of Monmouth's largest annual fundraisers, attracting more than 800 participants and growing. Last year, this event raised over $50,000 for employment, housing, recreation and other vital services for those with (I/DD) and their families.

The 5K race will begin at 8:30 am, with registration opening at 7:45 am. the Walk starts at 11 am with Tillie the Clown leading walkers to the boardwalk.

The after-party inside Convention Hall will feature live music by the "Wait Till Friday" band and DJ Nicky. Costco and Starbucks will supply the coffee and bagels, and the Lodges of the 17th Masonic District will be on hand serving free hot dogs, sausage and peppers, and snacks.

The registration feee includes a free t-shirt, giveaways, refreshments, carnival games, photo booth pictures and unlimited pinball at the Silverball Museum on the Asbury Park boardwalk. Fun for the whole family!
