You're invited to the 10th Annual Heart Walk for babies and children with life-threatening heart problems.

The Big Hearts to Little Hearts (BH2LH) Heart Walk will be held this Sunday, Sept. 25th. Walkers will step off at 10 am for a 1.5 mile trek along the beautiful Manasquan beachfront. Individuals and teams are welcome!

Registered walkers are also invited to attend an after-party featuring a raffle and auction at Leggitt's (217 First Ave., Manasquan.) The walk will take place rain or shine.

Proceeds are earmarked to fund research and projects that will lengthen and improve the lives of babies and children with congenital heart disease (CHD). CHD is the number one cause of birth defect-related death.

Another staggering statistic is that more children die each year from CHD than from all forms of pediatric cancer combined. Yet research for CHD is grossly underfunded.

BH2LH, since it started in 2003, has supported many projects, including medicinal research, youth heart watch, treatment of CHD patients as they reach early adulthood, and the purchase of pulse oximeters, which are sent home with CHD patients after surgery in order to detect problems before they become a crisis.

It's easy to sign up for the Heart Walk! Just come out this Sunday morning to Leggitt's at 9 am to register for $35.
