Walk With Joe 2012 Was An Amazing 9/11 Tribute

"Walk With Joe" is a very touching tribute to those lost on 9/11. It is named for Joe Driscoll, a longtime Manalapan resident, who was on Flight 93. The event took place this past Saturday morning at Monmouth Battlefield State Park, and I was proud to be there.As the time for the 5K walk approached, the weather was looking pretty bad, and we wondered if it would affect turnout. It didn't at all. Cars poured into the parking lots and people crowdwd the park to show their support for a great man, and a great cause.

As a matter of fact, by the time the walk began, the sun was shining on the participants. We will all have 9/11 on our mind, especially this week, and I have always found the feeling you get when you attend Walk With Joe to be very inspiring.

Many charities benefit from the money raised at the event, so to all who attended, thank you so much!!
