Also today, Wall Township will be delivering baked goods to first responders in Wall and painting rocks for the "Wall Rocks" initiative to spread kindness throughout the community.

This holiday is considered a "day on, not a day off," coordinated by Wall Township volunteers along with middle school and high school students to help area charities. It's sponsored by the Wall Intermediate School National Junior Honor Society.

The drive will benefit these wonderful non-profits:

-- Manasquan Food Pantry

-- Child Care Resources of Monmouth County

-- Your Grandmother's Cupboard

-- Pick Your Paw Rescue

-- Wag On Inn Rescue

-- Associated Humane Societies

-- Boys and Girls Club of Monmouth County

This event gives students and community members an opportunity to perform acts of service and give back to the community on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Volunteers are also needed today so if you or your group are interested, email walldayofservice@gmail.com.
