Here are two legitimate ways that you can help Ocean County residents in need.

1. The United Way of Ocean County is collecting donations and supplies.Food is the largest need. Bring non-perishables to United Way of Ocean County, 650 Washington Street, Suite 2, Toms River. They will then distribute it to Ocean County residents in crisis. You can also get instructions as to how to make a financial donation at www.uwocnj.org and "United Way of Ocean County" on Facebook.

The Ocean County Food Bank is holding a food drive on November 10th at the Costco on Rt. 70 in Brick/Lakewood beginning at 10 a.m. They are looking for donations of non-perishable food for the shelters as well as new pillows, pillow cases, gently used/new blankets, etc.
