Weekend Events at the Jersey Shore

Here's what's happening in Monmouth and Ocean Counties this weekend (Jan. 24 - 26, 2014). Where will you be?

-- The Ocean County Home & Remodeling Show: Find out all about everything from basic home impvements and maintenance to major renovations to create the home you've dreamed of. More than 150 of our area's top home improvement companies will be on hand. Displays include: home furnishings, kitchen cabinetry, air conditioning and heating, security systems, hardwood floors, window treatments, plumbing, insulation, and painters. And, for outside of your home, exhibitors for landscaping, siding, roofing, decks, pools and spas, solar, fencing, awnings, and so much more!!! Friday 4 - 8 pm, Saturday 11 am - 8 pm, and Sunday, 11 am - 5 pm at Pine Belt Arena (Toms River High School North). Free parking. Adults $8, Children 17 and under are free.

-- Glitzy Girl Glamour Party Hour for Girls ages 6 - 12: It's a night of pampering fun at the Fort Monmouth Rec Center in Tinton Falls. For $25 the girls dress in their favorite outfits and have fun getting their hair curled or straightened, manicures, pedicures, light make-up, and karoake! Fort Monmouth Rec Center in Tinton Falls. Pre-registration is required.

-- Ice Skating: 'Tis the season! Public skate sessions for the family with Sunday open skate sessions from 12:30 pm - 2:15 pm, and again from 4:05 pm - 5:50 pm at Jersey Shore Arena, Wykoff Road in Farmingdale/Wall. The rink offers skate rentals and a concession stand. $8 general admission, $4 ages 5 & under, $4 rental fee.
