We had a weekend that featured a lot of rain, and although most of us didn't experience the numbers of some other areas of the state, the numbers in some towns, especially in Ocean County, were impressive.

Here are some totals for our area according to nj.com.

In Monmouth County, Howell checked in with close to 2.71 inches of total rain over the weekend, and Matawan (2.37 inches) and Keyport (2.14 inches) were other towns that topped the two inch mark.

Long Branch (1.68),  Ocean Township (1.50), Rumson (1.17) and Brielle (1.07) received more than an inch of rain this weekend.

In Ocean County, Toms River got an unbelievable 6.55 inches with Berkeley Township close behind at  6.28 inches.Forked River received an impressive 5.38 inches. And the rain isn't over.

Meteorologist Dan Zarrow has potentially more heavy rain in his forecast today, plus there is Flash Flood Watch in effect for Monmouth County until 11:00pm.
