A very fast summer has already brought August to us at the Jersey Shore...so now the pressure is on to enjoy every minute of our Summer 2016.

I don't know about you, but for me, this is the month I feel the most "summer pressure" meaning if it's nice outside and I'm inside, I feel bad about it or even feeling guilty that I'm wasting the day.

I don't want to feel like a big clock is ticking in the background, but guess what? I feel like there is a big clock ticking in the background. I can't help it. I can't be the only one who feels this way, right?

I asked our meteorologist Dan Zarrow to take a look at what we might expect weather wise for August and he reminded me that August in new Jersey is the second hottest month of the year (behind July) and it's also the wettest month of the year. Here's what he said about the upcoming weeks...

It really looks like a pretty typical August for NJ.  I expect near-normal temperatures - some days it'll be warm in the 80s, others it will be hot in the 90s.  And near-normal precipitation, which means we should expect the chance for afternoon/evening thunderstorms to pop up at least every few days.
