Now you have a chance for a review and some possible additional money! But you have to act TODAY!

As we come up on the three year anniversary of Superstorm Sandy, many homeowners still feel they were underpaid from their flood insurance policies, giving them less money to rebuild and recover.

Now FEMA has acknowledged that people were underpaid and is allowing any policyholders who feel that they have been underpaid an opportunity to opt-in for a review. The opt-in part is important because it means that you have to initiate the review. It will not automatically happen.

The challenge is that our entire coastline is frustrated and fatigued and many are choosing not to take advantage of this opportunity.

That's why the Ocean County Long Term Recovery Group (OCLTRG) has initiated free assistance to homeowners to help them understand and navigate the review process. Community advocates will help you organize paperwork and provide an opportunity to have documents reviewed by an insurance expert if you wish.

This free service is being offered statewide because OCLTRG knows  first-hand how many people are short money for their reconstruction.

So if you feel that you have been underpaid from your flood insurance, you are strongly encouraged to opt-in for a FEMA review by calling 866-337-4262 TODAY! The deadline is TOMORROW, unless it gets extended at the last minute.

This may be your best and last chance to get additional dollars. September 15th is the deadline.

60% of the first batch that FEMA reviewed were offered additional money average almost 16k!!!
