When we had Joe Basile on the morning show last week, he was excited that his movie, "West End" was going to premiere at the Garden State Film Festival. I'm sure he's even more excited now that the movie was given the "People's Choice Award".

I was at the movie Saturday night at the legendary Paramount Theater in Asbury Park. My wife and I had a great time watching a movie that had dozens of Jersey Shore references and a great storyline.

Every time you blinked, there was another spot at the Jersey Shore being featured in the film. And each time a popular local spot appeared, or a well known local figure or business owner was on the screen , you could hear cheering and clapping from the packed theater.

Many of the scenes were of the Jersey Shore just prior to the arrival of Sandy, so there were several moments of reflection that were also greeted by respectful applause from the audience.

Congratulations to the cast, crew and everyone associated with West End. Get all the details on this award winning movie at the West End website.
