Meteorologist Dan Zarrow is predicting near record temperatures all weekend long. So just how close will Monmouth County get to the records, and will we break them?

Let's compare Dan's expected highs over this weekend to the Monmouth County records according to the Long Branch weather station.

Today (Friday)...Dan is predicting a high of 63, which will fall short of the record 66 set in 1931.

Saturday...The high in the forecast of 62 will be well short of the record of 69 registered in 1931.

Sunday...Even if we get to the predicted high of 65, we will still not reach the record high of 71 set in 1979

Monday...This is the day we may break a record. The forecast calls for a high of 65, which would be enough to break the record of 63 set in 1990.

So there you go. A really warm December weekend is upon us, and it could in fact produce at least one record breaking day!
