Sound Of Spring At Jersey Shore

Yesterday, I was working in the backyard getting things ready for spring planting, and I heard a bunch of sounds that let me know spring is really here.

The first thing I heard was a lawn mower. Yes a lawn mower. It wasn't mine, but a neighbor fired his up. I haven't heard that sound in a while. Sure it means a lot of lawn work is ahead, but it also means spring is here.

Then a couple of sea gulls flew over the house making the wonderful sound they make. Now, I've heard sea gulls this year well before yesterday, but there was something different about yesterday. It sounded better to me with a clear blue sky and a warm(er) day.

Then I heard the sound of my neighbors having a conversation outside their house. No, not a quick 'how ya doing" followed by a race to the door to get out of the cold, but an actual outdoor conversation...with not a jacket in sight!
