No one needs to tell you or me that the Jersey Shore is due for a break when it comes to weather. As a matter of fact, if there was justice in the world of weather, we would have great weather for a year straight. Unfortunately, it doesn't always work that way.

I just heard that some weather people are talking about the upcoming winter in the northeast and they're saying things like El Nino and phasing and other things I don't understand. The bottom line is some experts are saying that snowfall in our area will be higher than normal this winter. That I understand. And I don't like it.

Here's what would be nice, as far as I'm concerned.. A warm winter, and a winter with hardly any snow. A winter like that means safe driving, no school closings, and restoration crews don't get interrupted as they rebuild the Jersey Shore.

Maybe we'll catch a break, but after late October and early November, I don't have a lot of confidence. But I'll keep hoping!
