High winds and blowing snow are the concerns today in the aftermath of Saturday's snow.

New Jersey Fast Traffic''s Bob Williams says that conditions on any kind of road can change very quickly.

"You could be on bare pavement and then hit a couple inches of snow where snow blew from an open space onto the road," Williams said.

He said it's important for motorists to be aware of larger vehicles such as RVs, campers, trucks, buses, or trailers being towed that could sway. Branches could come down and objects such as garbage cans could wind up in the street.

There were a number of spin-outs and minor accidents on Sunday morning which were quickly cleared off the road. An accident that brought down a utility pole in Freehold closed down Route 537 at Francis Hill Road while accident on the southbound New Jersey Turnpike near exit #8 for Route 33 in Cranbury closed some lanes and required guardrail repair. The National Weather Service reports  most areas of the state received 3-5 inches of snow with Readington and Pitman getting the most.

Winds could gust out of the northwest at 55 miles per hour today could lead to power outages. So far, there have only been a few scattered outages with about 1,000 customers in Neptune and Middletown  losing power. The National Weather Service reports wind gusts of 62 miles per hour in Cape May, 58 in Tuckerton and Florence, 52 Miles per hour at Atlantic City International Airport and 51 miles per hour in Brick,

A 50-year-old woman from Lakewood froze to death while walking home along Route 70 early Sunday morning according to the Lakewood Scoop. When she didn't return home from a friend's house her husband went out to look for her and found her body not far from their home according to the Lakewood

The wind was not affecting flights at Newark Liberty however over 300 flights in and out were canceled due to heavy snow in New England.
