After the week we've had, I think we all want a cocktail...and some peace.

This recipe was created by Jonathan Pogash of The World Bar in NYC. It is across the street from the United Nations building, and they donate15% of the proceeds to the UN for peacekeeping missions.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz. Bombay Sapphire gin
  • .5 oz. fresh lemon juice
  • Splash of elderflower syrup
  • 2 drops blue Curaçao
  • 2 drops orgeat syrup (almond syrup can be used as a substitute)

Add the ingredients to a shaker filled with ice. Shake well, and strain into a chilled martini glass.

At The World Bar, the drink is garnished with a white chocolate dove. You can use a lemon twist, or just leave it plain.

Here's hoping one day we'll all know real peace.
