X-Factor’s Carly Rose Sonenclar Coming to Freehold

X-Factor's Carly Rose is making her New Jersey debut at Encore of iPlay America!

Carly Rose is 14 years old and has been signed to Simon Cowell's record label! She's writing and getting in the studio now to begin work on her first album and is awaiting the day that Simon comes to visit her in the studio as she gets closer to completing that album.

We had her on our show this morning and she is just as sweet as you remember her on X-Factor. She says that Britney Spears and Simon Cowell, along with the other judges, were really kind to her during the show and she says that she realizes she still has a long road ahead of her as she works toward her dreams of becoming a pop star.

Carly began her acting career in 2006, making her Broadway debut in Les Miserables. She originated the role of Chloe (Alice's daughter) in the 2011 musical Wonderland on Broadway. She played a regular character in season 3 of The Electric Company TV series, and has sung the National Anthem for major sportiing events.

Her passion is to sing and you can support her along with hundreds of thousands of her followers on Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube. In fact, after she released a video just over a week ago singing a One Direction cover song, it quickly received close to 200,000 views!

Carly says she's so happy to be coming to our area because she has so many friends and relatives here and so many fans that voted her the second place finisher on X-Factor. She will be performing songs that she did on X-Factor, and maybe if you're lucky you'll hear her do an original, too!

Her advice to young boys and girls looking to persue a career in music? She says she thinks that learning to play an instrument (she plays the piano) is really helpful in becoming a professional in the music industry, to help make you a more well-rounded singer-songwriter.

Carly Rose will be at Encore at iPlay America in Freehold on Sunday, June 30th, 2013. Doors open at 3 p.m. for all ages (21 to drink).
