This tops any invitation that I have ever received to a party, especially since I don't have to go!

The Monmouth County SPCA has invited me (and you!) to their No Show Summer Party...and you can support this very real cause by NOT ATTENDING THEIR IMAGINARY EVENT, lol!

Here's what the invitation says:

We won't be there and neither will you! No need to clutter your calendar or take away from an evening with friends and family. You don't even need to get dressed up. So put down the lint brush, curl up on the couch and join us from the comfort of your own home.

As the number of animals being surrendered due to economic hardships, evictions and foreclosures continues to increase, we are all struggling to make every dollar count.

With this in mind, the Monmouth County SPCA is hosting it's third "no Show" Summer Party, an imaginary event for a very real cause. Support the homeless animals in the most efficient way possible...by not showing up for the party!

No RSVP necessary...but any contributions will benefit the homeless animals caref for by the Monmouth County SPCA and all that they do, including vaccinating animals, spaying and neutering, taking in animals from other overcrowded shelters, behavior training for dogs whose previous owners didn't have the patience, and providing surgery for animals who were cruelty victims.

The mission of the Monmouth County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is to protect all animals. They are dedicated to enforcing animal cruelty laws, providing a safe haven for homeless, abused, and abandoned pets while giving them a chance to be adopted into their forever homes.
