A Visit To Point Pleasant Beach Brings Tears, But Also A Sign Of The Jersey Spirit

When I stood on the boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach this weekend, I couldn't believe what I saw and what I didn't see.

I saw the kind of damage you usually only see in photos of someplace else. I saw people walking around with a look of astonishment. I saw people moving furniture and belongings from their home to the curb. I saw the tiki bar just missing.

And then I saw that someone had used their finger to write something in the sand that had been caked on a window on the boardwalk. I read it and it was a great reminder of who we are. We are Jersey Strong.
