The Lakewood Renaissance Fair is happening this weekend at Pine Park with a variety of events.  On Saturday, the fair opens at 10am with a musical performance on the main stage.  The day is filled with activities which include jousting, a costume contest, Medieval dancers and story time with “Queen Tammy,” New Jersey author, Tammy Vreeland.  Participate in a special reading with Tammy on Saturday at 11:30am and Sunday at 10:30am on the main stage as she presents her latest children’s book collection, Unseen Beauty, which tells the adventurous story of Urie the Unicorn.  You’ll have the chance to explore the marketplace, interact with hundreds of costumed characters, practice your archery skills and feast on foods from the Renaissance period.  Wizards, jugglers, stilt walkers, poets and magicians add to the fun.  Click Renaissance Faire for the schedule of events and have fun time-traveling this weekend.
