Greetings! I’m Steve McKay and I’m the newest member of the Lite 96.9 team. It’s great to be back home in Jersey. I’m a 1982 graduate of Hightstown High (Mercer County). I started my career while still in high school, and judging by my grades, it’s a good thing this radio career worked out. I’ve been fortunate enough to live in some nice places and meet great people, but it has been a dream to make it back to Jersey. As another Jersey boy, Jon Bon Jovi says, “Who says you can’t go home”. I’m married with two grown daughters…all Jersey girls, and I’m the dad to two rescue dogs, Franklin and Rocky. I’ll be helping you end your day and keep you company on your ride home. I like to stay active in the community, and I look forward to meeting you!

Remembering The Craziest Amusement Park in NJ

NJ Residents Warned: Don’t Fall Victim to This Scam
This is a billion-dollar scam that is so pervasive in New Jersey, that there was an HBO Documentary titled, Telemarketers produced about it.
Ten of the Most Unusual Pizza Toppings in NJ
Many old-school pizza aficionados turn their noses up at some of the outrageous toppings used on pizza.
And with good reason. For instance, putting pineapple on a pizza is an abomination, and should never be allowed.
Sometimes, when you see what people are putting on their pizzas, you have to ask, when does a pizza stop being a pizza?

True, their mosquitoes draw more blood in an evening than the Red Cross in a year, but still, they have plenty of good hiking- as long as you're careful not to run into alligators or snakes.
Would You Dare to Bare on NJ’s Only Nude Beach?
Bring suntan lotion with a high SPF. Parts of your body that aren't usually exposed to the sun will burn, and I can't imagine how much that would hurt.

Where to Find Great Grilled Cheese in NJ
There are different bread options, there are many different cheeses that work well in this delicacy, and too many other options to list here.
For the record, I like mine on sourdough bread, using American cheese with some mayo and grilled slightly crisped and sliced into two triangles.
Bad News for Fans of This NJ Retailer
Forgive my naivety, but I thought that if you were shopping at a store that calls itself a "Dollar Store," they'd actually have merchandise that costs a dollar.
These days, when you shop at any of the so-called dollar stores, it's become more and more difficult to find items that cost a dollar.
