A Manchester woman is hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries Friday after being hit by a car outside of Charlie's Pizza on Route 37 in the Savannah Acres section of the township.

Police say 83-year old Lillian McNichol's red 1997 mercury grand marquis was attempting to park, when she lost control of the car, drove over the curb, onto the sidewalk and hit 45-year old Kristine Sulzmann who was trying to park her bike around 12:51 pm.

Sulzmann was pinned against the building briefly until McNichol was able to back up.

She was brought to Jersey Shore University Medical Center for treatment of leg and hip injuries.

McNichol was unharmed following the collision.

This crash is being investigated by Patrolman Ian Bole of the department's Traffic Safety Unit.

Assisting at the scene were members of the Manchester First Aid Squad, Manchester Volunteer Fire Department, and MONOC Paramedics.
