DWI Checkpoint in Asbury Park Tonight

The Monmouth County DWI Task Force is setting up again tonight, hoping to deter drunk and unsafe drivers.

A DWI checkpoint will be set up on Rt. 71 (Main St.)  in Asbury Park from 11 p.m. tonight, Friday, August 7th until 3 a.m. Saturday, August 8th.

Southbound drivers will have to pull into the municipal lot at Mattison Ave. where officers will be looking for those under the influence of drugs or alcohol, as well as other unsafe drivers.
