A very unique musical concept is coming to Third Beach in Asbury Park.

Composer and concert pianist Murray Hidary has made a name for himself with Mind Travel, a live-to-headphones silent piano concert designed to be meditative.

Think about it, even the most serene places have distractions. During the ‘silent’ concert, participants wear wireless headphones and hear real-time piano compositions all while taking in the sights of the beach.

According to Mind Travel:

The many sensory components – music, words, silence, visual cues – work synergistically to help participants connect with themselves and the world around them.

Murray has sold out shows all over the country, but Asbury Park holds a special place in his heart spending summers in Asbury growing up.

Reservations, and more importantly, headphones will go quickly. The concert will happen on Third Avenue Beach in Asbury Park on Saturday, August 24 beginning at 10 p.m. Tickets are $20, and children 13 and under are free. Click here to learn more!
