Friends Reunion Show Not Happening

If you, like many, got way too excited to hear that there was going to be a 'Friends' reunion...I'm about to break your heart.

It's not happening. I'm sorry.

Friends was and still is one of my favorite shows, but the truth is, a reunion show isn't happening, it's just a mean internet rumor. (BASTIDS!)

You probably saw this on Facebook and Twitter:

Yeah, I did too. But it didn't come from Warner Brothers or NBC...just a really mean radio show in Oklahoma. (Again, I say...BASTIDS!)

The show's co-creator Marta Kauffman told E! News that's it's not happening.

NBC also confirmed that a reunion wasn't happening.

Womp womp.

I know, it'd be great to have more episodes to steal one-liners from...but chances are, we'd all be really disappointed in a reboot. (You all remember the second Sex and the City movie, right?)

Think about it: do you want to see a nearly 50-year-old Joey Tribbiani? It's funny when a 20-something is a sort of dumb but lovable player...20 years later? It's just sad...and kind of creepy.

Besides, how could you have an episode of Friends without the Central Perk couch?
