Are you getting creative with your outdoor seasonal decorations?  During the Halloween season, there are so many choices of décor, ranging from ghoulishly goofy to gruesome.   As you position the pumpkins on the front porch and find power sources for your lights and fog machine, be sure to practice some of these safety tips to ensure a Happy Halloween for all.  First, keep the porch lights on and consider motion-sensor lights for other areas that may be too dark for trick-or-treaters.  Second, use outdoor cable and cord covers to minimize a trip hazard.  Third, be sure to sweep your driveway and other walkways, making them free from debris, which could potentially cause injury.  Fourth, use battery operated, flameless candles in order to reduce the risk of fire.  Be sure to fix any loose steps or a wobbly railing.  Finally, keep your pets away from the front entrance, so they do not accidentally run out of the house or scare the trick-or-treaters.  Practice these safety tips and be sure to share them with your friends and neighbors for a safe Halloween.
