Class A South

Jackson Memorial 3, Brick Memorial 0

Junior Stephen Csatari scored two goals and the Jaguars (2-1-1, 2-1-0) bounced back from a one-sided loss to Toms River East on Tuesday but blanking the Mustangs (0-2-2, 0-1-2) two days later.

Junior Tyler Korinchak scored the other Jackson Memorial goal while seniors Ryan Polakowski and Christian Abel each contributed an assist in the win.

Toms River South 7, Brick 1

Senior Jon Fitzgerald scored two goals and assisted two more during a four-goal first half for Toms River South (3-0, 3-0) that led the Indians to a rout of the Green Dragons (0-4, 0-3).

Fitzgerald opened the scoring in the third minute, then assisted goals by junior Kenny Caruso and sophomore Chase Ford before adding another of his own in the 38th off a feed from Ford.

Senior Eddie Candia scored the fifth Toms River North goal off a pass from sophomore David Mandica, then assisted a goal by senior Gianni McCann in the 70th. Noah Beaton capped the scoring in the 78th.

Toms River North 3, Central 2

Junior Anthony Ruggiero and sophomores James Homyak and Josh Brazier each scored a goal and the Mariners (2-0-1, 2-0-1) edged the Golden Eagles (1-2, 1-2).

Junior David Kroon and sophomore Jordan Benzon scored for Central. After scoring Central's first goal, Kroon left the game with a serious leg injury and was taken by ambulance to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune for further evaluation, according to Toms River North coach Joe Mahon and Central coach Troy Van Hise.

 

Class B Central

Ranney 1, Henry Hudson 1

Eddie Magherini scored the game-tying goal for Ranney in the final 10 minutes of regulation and the Panthers (1-2-1, 1-1-1) salvaged a draw with the Admirals (0-2-1, 0-1-1).

Point Beach 4, Asbury Park 1

Sophomores Bennett Mayer and Cody Monticello each scored two goals and the Garnet Gulls (3-1, 3-1) overcame the Blue Bishops (0-3, 0-1).

Mayer scored the go-ahead goal in the first minute of the second half and added a second in the 58th minute. He also assisted Monticello's second goal, which capped the scoring in the 64th minute. Freshman Dylan Ryan also contributed a pair of assists for Point Beach.

Junior Gustabo Lazo-Garcia scored the Asbury Park goal, which tied the game in the 19th minute.

 

Class B South

Lacey 4, Donovan Catholic 1

Junior Matteo Pasqualichio scored the first and final goals for Lacey -- all of which came in the first half -- as the Lions (1-2, 1-2) stormed past the Griffins (1-2, 1-2) for their first win of the season.

Pasqualichio scored off a cross from sophomore Danny Cardenas three minutes into the match and capped the scoring with a penalty kick in the 29th.

Freshman Aiden Schmitt stretched Lacey's lead to 2-0 with a goal in the 13th minute before sophomore Brody Levy drew Donovan Catholic one goal closer with a goal in the 15th.

Junior Connor Noon headed a pass from senior Tyler Hyle in the 25th to give Lacey back its two-goal lead.

Lakewood 2, Manchester 1 (OT)

Senior Flavio Garista scored the golden goal in the 12th minute of overtime and the Piners (1-2, 1-2) recovered from an early concession to upend the Hawks (3-1, 1-1).

Senior Evan Weiner staked Manchester to a 1-0 lead in the third minute, when he headed in a corner kick from senior Diego Martinez.

Lakewood equalized in the 28th, with Christopher Jimenez taking a pass from Angelo Calidonio and burying a strike from 25 yards out.

Early in the second overtime period, Garista beat a defender on the left side of the field and slotted in the winner from 10 yards out.

Jackson Liberty 1, Barnegat 0 (OT)

Senior Nick Malangone converted a penalty kick in the 17th minute of overtime and the Lions (3-0-1, 3-0-0) pulled out a road win over the Bengals (3-1, 1-1) to remain unbeaten.

Barnegat senior goalkeeper Lucas Holland saved 11 shots and began the program's all-time leader in saves. Sophomore Rocco Malangone, meanwhile, earned the shutout in goal for Jackson Liberty.

Point Boro 2, Pinelands 0

Junior John Witkowski scored two goals in the second half and the Panthers (4-0, 3-0) topped the Wildcats (0-4, 0-3) to extend their season-opening winning streak to four.

Witkowski opened the scoring in the 46th minute off a set-up from senior Brett Leschinski and added another goal in the 65th off an assist from senior Alex Corso.

 

Non-Division

Raritan 6, Keyport 1

Senior Lupo Ryder rolled up a hat trick and junior Andrew Badalamenti scored twice to lead the Rockets (2-2) to a win over the Red Raiders (0-3).

Senior Lucas Hutnik added a goal and senior Danny Ryder dished out two assists for Raritan.

Senior Christian Oldhafer scored the lone Keyport goal off a pass from junior Edwin Prudente.

Manalapan 1, Southern 0

Junior Ano Anzivino scored off a pass from classmate Tyler Kats in the first half and the Braves (3-2) held on to beat the Rams (0-3), with senior Jacob Popper nailing down the shutout in goal.
